Kotak Virtual NetCard Ad: Ecommerce Anyone??

Of late there is a deluge of Advertising in banking industry with Citi going all out with its advertising and Kotak also out to showcase its features none of which are really great ads but this ad struck me for the potential it holds for e commerce in India. This ad is about a cool tool that makes disposable cards for shopping online and seems pretty nifty and can take the threat of getting the credit card number hacked which is the biggest hindrance to e commerce. There are some interesting features like

1. The actual debit card number is never used in the online transactions. Therefore, there is no risk of the actual card number getting exposed during the online transaction on the merchant website.
2. The card is created online in real time for an amount decided by you and valid for a limited period only ie: maximum 48 hrs.
3. This is an online, single transaction card. Therefore it cannot be used more than once and only upto the limited validity period and cannot be used on a swiping machine
