Search is sick Bing is cure this is the mantra with which Microsoft continues its battle against google. The new advertising for its search engine Bing  taps effectively into recession. The marketing challenge, according to Microsoft executives, is that people don't believe there are any problems with how they search. Most consumers say they are satisfied with search today, but Microsoft says its own behavioral studies of what people do when they go online and type in queries indicate otherwise, as people often spend lots of time tweaking queries and, in some cases, abandon them altogether, unable to find what they're seeking. Microsoft is positioning Bing as a "decision engine" vs. a search engine, although Bing doesn't actually make decisions for people. Rather, it contains some useful filters that can, in some cases, help people sort through search results more easily. In the end though in my opinion Bing is not able to sufficiently differententiate itself from Google it has done some tweaks into the UI and the search process which makes it a lot cooler and definitely worthy competitor to google, here is look at its new ad. via Adage

I agree with you Abhishek that UI and some minor facelifts have given Bing some differentiation from Google. But to be a true leader in the Search Space Bing should not only position itself as a "decision engine" but also deliver to be the same.
I personally feel there is notmuch of a difference in quality of results of both search engines
