Blink written by Malcom Gladwell writer of Tipping Point:
The most striking thing about Blink is the fact about the author how when he grew his hair long his life changed in small but significant ways he started getting pulled out of airport lines but the significant event that led him to write Blink was when he was pulled up by 3 policemen who thought he was a rapist while the only similarity between him and the rapist was that he was having a large head of curly hair. This lead him to the power of first impressions and writing of Blink the power of first two seconds. Interestingly he focuses on both positives and negatives of blink how we judge so manypeople in the first two seconds or the power of our subconscious mind. This book is about the power of first two seconds
It seems to portray how we do stereotyping something thats true for India or any other place in world as well as USA and seems to hold some interesting foresights for marketeers and how that two seconds can help maybe in advertising it is an idea that needs some following up though i was not satisfied with the book it just concentrated on examples and not on following up in depth on examples.
