Techtree reports that Apple introduced its all new range of iPods with enhanced user interface and new design in the country. This new range from Apple comprises of the iPod Touch with a multi-touch user interface; the all new iPod Nano with video playback; and iPod Classic holding up to 40,000 songs.
The new iPod Touch features the multi-touch interface that enables users to find and enjoy all of their music, videos, photos and more on its 3.5-inch widescreen display with just the touch of a finger. This is the same interface used in Apple's popular iPhone. The iPod Touch also includes Wi-Fi wireless networking, and three other applications using this network; Safari browser for mobiles, YouTube, and the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store.
The 8mm thin iPod Touch features up to 22 hours of audio playback and up to 5 hours of video playback. It is scheduled to be available in October in two capacities; 8GB for Rs 17,700 and 16 GB for Rs 23,600. Though they announced the launch of the iPod Touch at the conference, they didn't have a sample to show.
The second on the list is a new-generation iPod Nano featuring a large two-inch display with 320 x 240 pixels resolution, support for video playback, and an enhanced user interface. The new iPod Nano comes in four new colors-silver, black, blue, and green. It delivers up to 24 hours of audio playback or 5 hours of video playback on a single charge. This new-generation iPod Nano is available immediately in 4 GB for Rs 8,800 and 8 GB for Rs 11,400.
Last but not the least is the new iPod Classic, which is nothing new but a slimmer iPod with increased capacity. Featuring 80GB and 160GB of storage, the sixth generation iPod Classic delivers all old features plus an enhanced user interface featuring Cover Flow and a new all-metal enclosure. The 80GB model features up to 30 hours of music playback and 5 hours of video playback, while the 160GB model supports up to 40 hours of music playback and 7 hours of video playback on a single charge.
Both iPod Classic models are available immediately in silver and black. The 80GB iPod Classic model is priced at Rs 14,500 and the 160GB model is priced at Rs 20,400.
