What is the factor that draws the users to email this is a tough question to answer and the battle in India is primary between Rediff, Yahoo, Gmail, Indiatimes and newcomers AOL and with everyone claiming their mail to be fast and simple Rediff has taken a different route and is doing cause based marketing and is exhorting users to take a stance against firstly eve teasing
and secondly against park and open spaces
Update: I forgot to mention that they extended this campaign by actually doing a candlelight vigil against eve teasing While you enjoy these two ads what do you guys think whether this campaign will be successful and what can be done to bring more users to email ?

Hi Abhishek,
The ad may be fun and freaky. But I seriously doubt its capability to help rediffmail gain an edge over its competitor.
In fact it may just increase the chain-letter trend, which in 99% cases are nothing but spam.
I hope common sense prevails ASAP!

interesting thought that it will actually lead to greater chain letters but if they actually lead to something worthwhile then maybe users will be willing to engage more with rediffmail
