Aamir Khan with his Blog has been the pathbreaker in celebrity blogging in India and his success with the blog has convinced him of the effectiveness of internet as a medium. Now for his next release Ghajini which is all set to release on December 26th he has decided to do special internet based marketing. The company who has been maintaining his website and blog has now been asked to create a special website for Ghajini and this website will include a specially shot promo just for the website and there are also plans for starting a mobile phone website for the film as well which would be first of its kind in bollywood.While bollywood has been the biggest draw on most of internet portals in India it has been hard to convince most of the major movie makers to spend their money on marketing their films on the internet despite it being a cheaper medium.Aamir has realized that video promos online are practically free of cost and the producer doesn't have to shell a lot of money from his pocket to constantly showcase his film's promos on television channels maybe this will convince others in Bollywood to embrace internet.
