India has been shining with an 18 year old record growth of 9.4% in GDP making it world 's second fastest growing economy after China. India's now a land of opportunities with huge amount of software and management jobs and moving slowly from low end work to gud quality R&D work also This video by Bharatbala presents this hopeful and glamorous aspect of India this is the first face of India and I being a part of it keep on writing about this part only
However their is a second face of India For the past week Rajasthan has been burning over the seemingly trivial issue of getting Gurjars into ST category from their current OBC status This has put them into clash with Meenas who doesn't want them to come into this category. All this thanx to our dear politicians who played this card in the last elections
Interestingly in the original constitution ST's were meant to refer to Tribes that lived outside the ambit of modern society through aboriginal means and the focus was on how to secure their interests and integrate them with the rest of the nation wonder how gujjars qualify fr tht .This is a example of how reservation policy has divided the people of India .This is the second face of India one who will never read my blog and who doesn't care about how Rajasthan's tourist economy has suffered and has lost more than 50 crores and hw they have left ppl stranded away frm homes but wud try to find a shortcut to success which for them is a govt. job or an entry to a govt college nt looking for oppurtunities but for shortcuts even at this juncture of India hw can India be shining until these people become a part of the other India and tht's wat our politicians don't care they only keep playing these people against each other for their own petty gains and coin such words as affirmative action and social justice to hide it.
